Hi there 3TWO1’ers! Neil and I are busily enjoying the holiday season. We know you’ve got so many parties to go to and people to see and gifts to give. Oh no, do you have the time and money to be throwing presents under everybody’s tree? You do now! We’ve got you covered with these recipes. Go and give a gift or two!
SPICY SMOKY CHOCOLATE BARK
3 bars 70% cacao or greater chocolate bar
A few sprinkles of: ground cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, cayenne pepper
1/4 C. whole raw almonds *optional
2 tsp. smoked sea salt
LINE a large sheet pan (that will fit into your freezer) with wax or parchment paper.
BREAK chocolate bars up into large chunks by whacking the wrapped bar on the counter a few times.
PLACE chocolate into a wide pan over lowest heat.
Keep watch and stir until melted. (I added some raw almonds here)
POUR melted chocolate onto paper and tilt the pan to move the chocolate into a rectangular shape.
SPRINKLE all over with spices and then salt.
FREEZE for 30 minutes.
BREAK up the bark very quickly as the heat from your hands will cause some melting.
