BACON, ONION & COCOA BURGER™

Now for lunch. Bear with me, I’m still recovering from my cf competition yesterday. A burger is the only answer when watching football (which I’m very bored by-sorry football fans) on a Sunday afternoon. What else you got to do?!

INGREDIENTS

1 lb. ground beef
3 slices thick cut, uncured bacon, chopped roughly
1/4 C. onion, chopped roughly
3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. olive oil

PREPARATION
COMBINE beef, bacon, onion, cocoa, salt and pepper in a medium bowl.
FORM into 4 equal sized patties.
HEAT a wide skillet over medium high heat.
ADD the oil and wait 15 seconds.
ADD patties and brown on each side for 4-5 minutes.
Serving suggestion: Add wilted arugula or spinach on top the burger and serve with roast white sweet potatoes alongside.

What else does a man desire other than meat? Simple, tasty and quick.
Loved the serving suggestion too, very nice touch.
Will be making these many times again. Way to go KikerChef…
